Frequently asked questions.

Everything you might want to know before your visit. Still stuck? Text a photo of your nails to 412-552-0307.

I'm a new client. What should I book?

Welcome to Nail Haus! If you want to add immediate length to your nails, book a Gel-X Extension Manicure. If you want to work with your natural nails, book a Structured Gel Manicure along with your choice of nail art level.

Not sure which one is right for you? We're always happy to help — text us a picture at 412-552-0307.

What's the difference between a regular gel manicure, structured gel, builder gel and Gel-X?

At Nail Haus, we don't offer traditional gel-polish-only manicures. We've found that gel polish alone doesn't provide enough strength and support for the natural nail, so we specialize in structured gel, builder gel and gel extensions instead.

Structured and builder gel are applied over your natural nails to add strength, protect them and help maintain healthy natural nails. They're also great for growing out damaged nails.

Gel-X extensions add length and can also be used to repair or protect damaged nails.

Do you offer acrylic or dip powder?

Nope! Nail Haus is a gel-only nail salon.

With more than 20 years in the nail industry, we've chosen to specialize in gel systems that give our clients beautiful, durable nails without acrylic or dip. Our gel manicures are designed for strength, flexibility and long-lasting wear.

Can I come in with acrylic, dip or gel from another salon?

Absolutely! If you currently have acrylic or dip from another salon, please book a Nail Enhancement Removal before your Nail Haus service.

If you have builder gel, structured gel or Gel-X from another salon, we can often work over or fill the existing product as long as your nails and the product are in good condition. If you aren't sure — text us a photo of your nails in their current condition at 412-552-0307.

Do I need to book a removal if I already have product on my nails?

Not always!

If you're unsure, text us a photo of your current nails at 412-552-0307. We'll let you know whether you need to book additional time for a soak-off or if we can work with what you already have.

How long can I go between structured or builder gel appointments?

Most of our clients come in every 2–4 weeks.

We don't recommend going longer than four weeks. As your nail grows out, the structure and balance of the enhancement changes, which can make your nails more prone to breaking or damage.

Appointments with more than four weeks of growth may also have an additional fee due to the extra product and work required.

How often should I get a fill?

Every three weeks is the sweet spot!

This keeps your nails looking fresh while maintaining the proper structure and strength of your enhancement.

Can builder gel help me grow my natural nails?

Yes! Builder and structure gel is a great option for growing out natural nails that are damaged, weak or bitten.

If you're in the beginning stages of a nail recovery journey, we may recommend appointments every 10–14 days at first. Once your nails become healthier and more established, we can gradually extend the time between appointments.

What's best for weak or damaged nails?

Builder gel, structured gel and Gel-X can all be great options for weak or damaged nails.

There isn't one perfect service for everyone, so our nail technicians will look at your natural nails, lifestyle and goals and help you choose the best option for your specific needs.

What are Gel-X extensions?

At Nail Haus, we use Aprés Nail Gel-X, the original professional soft-gel extension system. No knockoffs here!

Gel-X is a soft, full-cover gel extension, meaning it covers the entire natural nail and can be soaked off when you're ready to remove it.

It's perfect when you want immediate length for a vacation, wedding or special event, but it can also act as a protective shield while damaged nails grow underneath.

Unlike more rigid traditional enhancements, soft-gel extensions provide a combination of strength and flexibility.

Do you specialize in nail art?

Very much so. Nail art has been part of Nail Haus for more than 20 years. Our work has been featured in advertising, magazines and even at New York Fashion Week.

From something simple and minimal to detailed hand-painted art, chrome, charms and designs, there's very little we can't do.

Not sure which nail art level to book? Text your inspiration photo to 412-552-0307, and we'll help you choose. You can also browse our Instagram Highlights for examples of the different nail art levels.

Can I bring a Pinterest or Instagram inspiration photo?

Of course! We love inspiration photos.

The biggest thing is making sure you book the appropriate nail art level and amount of time for the intricacy of the design you want. If you're unsure, text us your photo before booking and we'll point you in the right direction.

Can you recreate any nail design?

Pretty much! As long as the correct amount of nail art time is booked, we can recreate almost any inspiration you bring us.

If there isn't enough time booked for your exact design, we'll do our best to accommodate it or work with you to create a similar look within the time available.

We carry thousands of nail art options, including foils, charms, chrome, magnetic polishes and more. Have something super unique you want incorporated into your nails? You're also welcome to bring it with you!

What is a waterless pedicure?

A waterless pedicure skips the traditional soaking tub without skipping the pedicure experience.

We start by cleansing the feet and removing any existing polish or gel, then perform the pedicure using professional Footlogix products to care for the skin and feet.

We choose not to use traditional pedicure tubs because pipes and jets can make maintaining the level of cleanliness we expect more difficult. Going waterless allows us to focus on hygiene while still giving you the pampering, detailed service and beautiful results you came for.

How do you sanitize your pedicure tools?

Cleanliness is a big deal to us. All reusable pedicure tools and equipment are properly cleaned and disinfected between clients.

Healthy nails start with clean products, clean tools and a clean workspace, and we never want to compromise on that.

Can I get a pedicure if I have nail fungus or an ingrown toenail?

If you're currently experiencing a suspected fungal infection, ingrown toenail or another condition that may require medical treatment, we ask that you reschedule your Nail Haus appointment until the condition has been appropriately treated and resolved.

These are medical conditions and fall outside the scope of services we can safely provide in the salon.

Do you accept walk-ins?

We happily accept walk-ins when we have availability, but most of our clients book their appointments in advance and our days often fill completely.

For the best selection of appointment times and nail artists, we highly recommend booking four or more weeks in advance, especially if you need a specific day or time.

What if I'm late, need to cancel or miss my appointment?

Running late? Please call or text us and give us a heads-up. If you're more than 15 minutes late, we may need to shorten the nail art portion of your appointment or reschedule your service entirely so we don't run behind for the rest of our clients.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours' notice. You can cancel by phone, email or text.

Cancellations within 24 hours are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. If you miss your appointment entirely without notice, you'll be considered a no-show and charged 100% of your booked services.

After three no-shows, future online booking privileges will be suspended.

Can I book a bridal party, birthday or group appointment?

Yes! We love having groups at Nail Haus.

There are two ways to book. One person can book the entire group under their name, in which case that host is responsible for all appointments and any applicable cancellation fees.

If the host doesn't want to be financially responsible for everyone, each guest can book their own appointment separately. Just let us know you're coming together and we'll do our best to coordinate the appointments so your group can enjoy Nail Haus together.

Where is Nail Haus, and where should I park?

Nail Haus is located right on Washington Pike in Bridgeville, directly next to The Crafty Jackalope and across the street from La Bella Bean.

Many of our clients park across the street near La Bella Bean or along Hickman Street near Embody Hot Yoga and the Post Office.

Parking in Bridgeville is metered and is currently $1 per hour. You can pay for parking from your phone using ParkMobile, Pango or Passport, so we recommend getting your parking set up before your appointment and giving yourself a few extra minutes to get settled.

We can't wait to have you at Nail Haus.
